Previous to the degree level you would more than likely require at least 5 GCSE's grades A-C and 3 A Levels usually including maths. If aged between 16 and 24 it may also be possible to enter an apprentice scheme as your basic training then move on to the higher education as you work.

You would need to have a certain skill set to enter careers in engineering. Some of these skills include the following.
